Overview:
Alberta's economy is facing a moment of significant opportunity and pressure.Trade uncertainty, tariff pressures, federal-provincial relations, major industrial investment, infrastructure needs, and global market access are all shaping the decisions facing Alberta's business community.
The Fort Saskatchewan & Lamont County Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting the MLA Ministers Fireside Chat: Shaping Alberta's Economic Future — a high-level business and policy event bringing together Chamber members, regional employers, community leaders, and multiple elected officials from the Government of Alberta.
The event will provide a unique opportunity for regional business leaders to hear directly from provincial decision-makers on issues affecting competitiveness, investment, trade, energy, innovation, transportation, and the future of Alberta's industrial economy.
Recent developments, including the Alberta-Ottawa MOU, have renewed attention on the Industrial Heartland and its potential to support growth, investment, energy security, emissions reduction, and Canada’s long-term competitiveness. This event places regional business leaders and provincial decision-makers at the centre of that conversation.
Event Format:
The event will be a morning fireside chat with coffee, water, and light refreshments. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. for check-in registration and networking. Formal programming will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by opening remarks from the Chamber, remarks from the presenting sponsor, a moderated fireside chat, curated audience questions, and networking until noon.
